NBSC Elevates Excellence, Embraces Efficiency
To officially conclude the week-long Internal Quality Audit, Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) held a Closing Program on September 12, 2025, starting at 1 PM. It was conducted in a hybrid format similar to the Opening Program, with on-site participants composing of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team, Division Directors, and the College Executives convening in the NBSC Boardroom and all other participants joining online via Zoom.
The session began with the opening remarks of NBSC President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, who set the tone by reminding the faculty and staff that “quality is everyone’s responsibility and excellence can only be achieved if everyone works together and in harmony.” She emphasized that the heart of the audit was to renew the commitment to NBSC’s mission. She added that the institution must use its goals and guiding values to realize NBSC’s vision.
The presentation of audit findings was delivered by Ms. Jay Shell B. Coquilla, the Internal Quality Audit Team Leader, with the support of the rest of the IQA team. She covered in detail the positive observations; the common observations for opportunities for improvement and possible non-conformities in the future if not addressed; and the non-conformities (both minor and major). NBSC’s Legal Office Head, Atty. Jag Iesu Iñigo G. Murillo, then followed with his findings for the audit on the Internal Quality Audit Team.
Mr. Benzar Glen S. Grepon, MIT, Supervising Administrative Officer, ended the meeting by thanking the auditors for their dedication and the offices involved for their cooperation. He underscored the importance of using the insights shared into meaningful measures for improvement.
Through initiatives like this first Internal Quality Audit, NBSC not only demonstrated its dedication to upholding high-quality standards but also laid a strong foundation for its pursuit of ISO 9001:2015 accreditation and future institutional excellence.
